Like most cities around the world Hong Kong can be expensive. If you are trying to budget your money then the following will give you some ideas about what you can do without digging into your pockets. If you probably seem documentaries showing elderly Chinese people in parks early in the morning and performing acrobatic moves in the form of Tai Chi. There is just something amazing about witnessing a seventy year old kick their foot into the air and hold it there. If you want to witness this art for yourself then you can do so for free in Hong Kong. You will need to get up nice and early and the best places to go are the Zoological gardens, Kowloon Park, Victoria Park, or Hong Kong Park. If you want you can join in and you won't be expected to pay any money. After the Tai Chi is finished you can continue to enjoy the parks for free. If you want to see Hong Kong life then you will see a lot in the parks. There are always free events and activities taking place. Go visit a temple. These are not only a pleasant way to spend the afternoon, but it is also a good way to get spiritual and see another side of Hong Kong life. The Man Mo temple is located on Hollywood Road and is the most important temple in the city. This temple is dedicated to Mo who is the god of martial arts and Man who is the god of literature. As well as Taoist temples you will also find Buddhist monasteries. Visit the Hong Kong Cultural center. You will often find that this venue has free shows and other activities that you can enjoy. Have a wander around Tsim Sha Tsui Waterfront. Here you will get some great views of Hong Kong harbour and be able to people watch to your heart's content. From this vantage point you will also better able to appreciate the stunning quality of Hong Kong's cityscape. In the evenings you will get to see a dazzling laser show. Go for a walk around the western district. Here you will find markets and shops selling every product imaginable. You don't have to buy anything; just looking can be fun. If it is Wednesday then you will be able to visit many of the local museums for free. This is great on a hot day because not only will you be getting to see some beautiful and interesting objects but you will also be getting free air-conditioning; educational and refreshing is a combination you can't beat. You will also be able to find many more free things to do around the city; this list is just to get you started. When you actually go and look what is on offer you will begin to wonder why you ever paid for anything. With all the money you save you will be really able to splash out on something nice.

Disney World

Although there are a few excellent roller coasters in the UK, for a concentrated adrenaline fuelled experience there are few better areas to visit than the theme park heavens of either Orlando or California.
Head to the USA for Roller-coaster Thrills
Author: Adam Singleton
If you consider yourself a white-knuckle ride fan and have ridden UK rides such as the Big One at Blackpool and Rita the Queen of Speed at Alton Towers, then for a concentrated roller-coaster experience where you can enjoy more thrilling rides per square mile than anywhere else head for either theme park heaven at Orlando, Florida or a smaller collection of parks at Anaheim in Orange County, California. Orlando offers a host of exciting theme parks; four at Disney World, two at Universal, Sea World and a handful of other exciting venues. The conurbation of Orlando / Kissimmee also offers a cornucopia of other entertainment that can easily keep the average family occupied for an entire two-week holiday without needing to repeat any experience. Over on the west coast in California Disney rules the roost at Anaheim, Orange County offering the original Disneyland and a second park known as California Adventure. Close by is found Knott's Berry Farm - home to some absolute thrillers. Indeed, when it comes to thrilling roller coasters Knott's Berry Farm should certainly not be overlooked by true white knuckle aficionados as it boasts no less than five teeth-gritting, butt-clenching rides of its own; The Boomerang, GhostRider, Montezooma's Revenge, Xclerator and Silver Bullet all offer the adrenaline producing fear that thrill riders simply adore; all contained in one park. The foremost ride at California Adventure is the roller coaster California Screamin' which accelerates from 0 – 55 mph in four seconds from a standing start. The front two seats in the first car certainly prove a hair-raising location and the structure is so high at first drop that it can be seen from the Disneyland hotels . It is the top roller coaster for visitors to the park where another great attraction is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, which although not a coaster still provides all the fearsome thrills! But, if the Orange County rides don't prove thrilling enough just 40 miles north in Hollywood is Universal Studios, which offers pretty spectacular rides of its own, albeit that there are no traditional roller coasters. Meanwhile, over on the east coast of America in Florida the hugely popular Aerosmith rock 'n' roller coaster at MGM Disney is likely to long outlive the band from which it gets its name. Opened in July 1999 passengers ride coaster in cars shaped like stretch limousines, fitted with five speakers per seat that blast out Aerosmith's greatest hits as they accelerate from 0 - 60 mph up a steep incline in a staggering 2.8 seconds. Passengers experience 4.5 gees immediately before going into a loop, as "love in a roller coaster" is blasted out all around them. In the words of the locals – ‘awesome’! So, once you’ve ridden the UK thrillers and are looking for more adrenaline rides with the added benefit of guaranteed sunshine, then head for the USA!

My Top 7 Ibiza Secrets

Ibiza is known as the best party island in the Mediterreanean sea, but you do not need to be a clubber in a latex-outfit to enjoy a vacation on the Balearic island. After living on Ibiza for several months and writing a travel guide about the island I have acquired a lot of knowledge. Here's a list of little known facts about the sunny island:

1. Cheap
If you look past the extreme prices of drinks in the hottest clubs, Ibiza is actually fairly inexpensive. The resorts are struggling to keep up with Mallorcas new built vacation spots and the 80s and 90s styled hotels are decreasing their prices to get people to buy vacations at their hotels. Low accommodation prices are expected also for 2010.

2. Brits dominate
If you head for the resort of San Antonio and visit the resort's "West End" district you will not feel like you are in Spain at all! There are so many kebab joints, Chinese restaurants, Fish & Chips places, strip joints, nightclubs and party pubs that it resembles any English mid-sized town on a Saturday night.

3. Ibiza's gay town
Ibiza Town is home to a big gay community in the summer months. Visit the town's Sa Penya area along the harbour to experience the gay side of Ibiza. Expect narrow streets filled with bars, clubs and a few restaurants.

4. Very quiet outside peak season
The peak season in Ibiza is in June, July, August and September. The rest of the year the island is pretty quiet and you get to have all the beaches and restaurants to yourself. A visit to Ibiza in May, June or October guarantees pretty weather and nice sunny days - without the crowd.

5. Watch the sunset at Cafe del Mar, or somewhere else
It is hardly a secret, but a visit to Ibiza is not complete without enjoying the view of the sunset with a cocktail in your hand. The most popular place to watch the sunset is at the world famous Cafe del Mar in San Antonio. But there are several other beach side cafes where you can get the same view, pay less for drinks, and have less people around you.

6. Use your beach towel
Is your budget tight? In these times it may be worth your while to stretch your euros a little bit further. My top money saving tip is in the sunbed area: Do not hire sunbeds at the beach every day, €5 a day for sunbeds accumulate to €70 for 14 day stay. Use your beach towel or enjoy life at the hotel pool.

7. Great gourmet food at the supermarket
If you go to the beach you can pick up some nice serrano ham, cheese, baguettes and a few beers at one of the many supermarkets. Eat them at the beach instead of paying for lunch or dinner at fancy restaurants.

That's a few Ibiza secrets revealed for you. Ibiza is a great destination between April and October. Personally I prefer to visit in May or early June. The prices are low and the weather is great.

As temperatures in North America start to cool, Caribbean cruise deals start to heat up. If you want to get away from the dreary landscape of your hometown this winter, consider booking a Caribbean cruise. There are a vast number of excellent deals to be had for Caribbean cruises and prices are incredibly low. Think as low as $249 per person for a 4 night cruise package that includes airfare. In fact, you can find many Caribbean cruises with discounts of up to 75% on regular prices. One of the reasons why Caribbean cruises are so much cheaper lately has to do with the state of our economy. Many cruise lines have had to slash prices in order to encourage people to get on board. When you consider the fact that the prices of food and drinks are typically included in the packages, it is hard to pass up these Caribbean cruise deals . The best time to search for deals on cruises in the Caribbean is during the low season, which runs from July to mid-December. During low season, cruise lines often offer packages that include air, accommodations, sports, and spa treatments so you can get more value for your money. Rates drop substantially during the low season. Many people claim that traveling to the Caribbean during low season is risky because you are more likely to come across dangerous weather conditions. However, the chance of you getting caught in a hurricane during your vacation is relatively low. Most islands only get hit by hurricanes once every 8.5 years or so. Islands outside of the hurricane belt, such as Trinidad, Bonaire, and Curacao, get hit only once every 60 years or so. During the fall, the weather in the Caribbean can be wetter but that usually means just a few afternoon downpours. The average temperature is just a few degrees above what it is in high season. Summer in the Caribbean is a good time to enjoy water sports because the water is warmer and clearer. The Best Caribbean Cruise Deals Some great cruise bargains to keep an eye out for include the following: Kids Sail Free On select cruises, children under the age of 17 can sail free. Sometimes the deals are offered year-round. Shipboard Credits Some cruise lines offer shipboard credits when you book a cruise with them, meaning that you are given credit that can be applied to shipboard expenses and gratuities. Free Upgrades Free upgrades which enable you to upgrade to a better stateroom or to a room with a balcony for the same price may be offered. Early Booking Incentives By booking your cruise three to five months in advance, you may qualify for early booking discounts. Many of the cruises offer early booking incentives work out to be less than $70 per person per day. Customer Loyalty Program Many cruise lines offer discounts to passengers who have sailed with them before.

camping stoves

Ever wondered why camping stoves are so expensive? Find out why. Then you wouldn't be bothered about the price anymore.
Why Camping Stoves are So Expensive
Author: meliza mateo
A good camping stove is a sound investment when it comes to camping trips though it costs more. These are the camping stoves found to be expensive: multi-fuel stoves, smaller stoves and liquid gas stoves. A camping stove is a necessity when it comes to camping trips; however, a lot of them could burn a hole through your budget. In the long run, however, shelling out a bit more for a quality camping stove has more advantages than disadvantages. Multi-fuel Stoves Multi-fuel stoves are designed to run on both liquid and gas fuels. This will come in handy, especially when camping internationally. When travelling, you can never be sure that the places you go to will have the kind of fuel you need for your camping stove. With a multi-fuel stove, the chances of finding the suitable fuel you need are greater. In addition, the convenience of its availability is worth a few extra bucks. Smaller Stoves Although camping is all about giving up material conveniences and living simply, we want to make sure that we've packed everything we need to make our camping trip successful. We can to be able to pack for any possible emergencies, and it's harder to do so if we've got to lug around a huge camping stove. Smaller camping stoves are easier to pack and tend to last longer than bigger models. Aside from convenience of having a stove that's easier to bring on camping trips, its durability will offset its more expensive price tag. Liquid Gas Stoves Liquid gas stoves are more expensive due to a more complex design and construction. However, this also means that it is designed to last longer than less expensive ones. They also produce a consistent heat output across any conditions; its flame will not decrease even as the fuel slowly runs out. They are fit for long-term use with any conditions and at any altitude, which means you can definitely take it along on many camping trips of whatever weather there is. Camping trips are a fun way to bond with your family or have that adventure with your friends; and with a good camping stove, you won't have to worry about your meals, and you'll be able to enjoy these moments more.
